I have been surfing the web for teaching materials and stumbled upon Harvard's tradition of giving salutatory orations in Latin. Now, my students can no longer complain when I make them recite the openings of Caesar's Gallic Wars , Vergil's Aeneid, or compete in the Latin oratory at the GA Latin convention at Rock Eagle!

Wow, they even have commentators! I wish we could find out whatever happened to this kid--hopefully Mississippi didn't eat him up and spit him out!
