Middle School Latin IB
Class Description
This class is a continuation of Middle School Latin 1A (Chapters 1-11), so new students must be approved for this class by the instructor to see if they have covered the necessary material before entering. We are aiming to complete Chapters 12-27 of the Ecce Romani Series Book 1 or 1B, which focuses on more translation, the dative case, 4th and 5th declensions, and the remaining 5 tenses of the active voice. Students may elect to take the Introductory Level of the National Latin Exam in March.
Middle School Latin IB is designed to be a yearlong class with weekly homework. Enrolled students will have password- protected access to the weekly syllabus, audio readings, video tutorials, worksheets, and helpful links: HERE.
This class meets on Thursdays @ 11:00-11:55 at LEAD Homeshool in Decatur, Ga. The cost of this course is $225 per semester. Classes start September 8, 2011 and follow the LEAD calendar.
Nota Bene: this class will not meet September 15th. Instead, A complimentary teacher-guided tour of the Classical galleries at the Michael C. Carlos Museum is scheduled for Friday, December 2, 2011.
