Egyptomania
Class Description
We will explore ancient Egypt by creating it. Students will practice hieroglyphics, build obelisks and pyramids, make mummy masks, mummify chickens, and construct a diorama of their favorite book on Egypt (Any Red Pyramid or Cleopatra Rules fans out there?).
This 15 week class is offered for all ages both fall semester and spring semester. It meets weekly on Tuesdays @ 10:00-10:55 at LEAD Homeshool in Decatur, Ga. The cost of Egyptomania is $225 for the semester + $15 art supply fee. Classes start September 6, 2011 and follow the LEAD calendar.
Please note: there will be no class on September 13th. Instead a complimentary teacher-guided tour of the Egyptian collection at the Michael C. Carlos Museum is scheduled for November 11th.
